PSL Services/STRIVE provides a community of support and assistance to people with Intellectual disabilities or mental health diagnosis who experience challenges seeking greater independence by: respecting the value of each individual, initiating mutually beneficial, sustainable partnerships with business and community leaders, and creating innovative opportunities responsive to the evolving needs of individuals and families.
PSL Services/STRIVE has an opening for a Training Coordinator. This is a full-time position Monday through Thursday 8a-4:30p and Friday 8a-4p.
Applicants must demonstrate values consistent with the agency’s mission and the ability to work cooperatively with others. Additional requirements include: experience teaching/training, public speaking skills, experience facilitating meetings, writing proficiency, excellent communication skills, computer and report generating skills. A high level of organization and ability to work independently as well as part of a team are necessary. Experience working in social services field strongly preferred. Experience in mental health or intellectual disabilities field a plus.
Applicants must have a Bachelor’s Degree or at least five years in a related field. Direct Support Professional (DSP) Certification, CPR/FA or Safety Instructor Certification (or willingness to be certified immediately) required. Preference given to applicants with relevant, current instructor certification.
