STRIVE Bayside: A Team Centered Approach to Independent Living
Are you interested in expanding your independent living skills? Would you like to spend the next two years in an exciting program focused on developing your skills and learning how to access your community?
STRIVE offers a unique community supports program called STRIVE Bayside which is dedicated to expanding independent living skills and community connections for people with developmental disabilities! The goal is to work with participants over a two year period to expand their abilities to live a more independent life.
STRIVE Bayside runs from 9:00am-1:00pm or 1:00pm-5:00pm Monday to Friday and is based in a 3-bedroom apartment in Back Bay Tower in Portland which we use, along with the community around us, to work on independent living skills and learn how to navigate the community. This program utilizes the STRIVE U curriculum and is used to assist young people with disabilities to live and work in their communities.
We are currently accepting applications for the afternoon session (1:00-5:00pm)! Space is limited to eight participants.
Funding options include Section 21, 29 and private pay.
