Is it too late for my friends to sign up?

Not at all. The fundraising minimum is $100 for those who register before February 14th and $125 for those who sign up after February 14th. To register, go to https://app.mobilecause.com/vf/ROCKS2017 and create a fundraising page. People can attend the event and can register at the door as long as they complete the $125 fundraising minimum.

What time does everything start?

On Saturday, 3/11, STRIVE Rocks All Day runs from 10am-6pm. This is designed for families and younger participants. We will have great events and activities such as 9 different inflatables, a petting zoo, magician, kid's bands, mascots, face painting, the New England Patriot Cheerleaders, and so much more! (Please note that this is a separate admission from the overnight marathon).

STRIVE Rocks All Night begins on Saturday night at 8pm and runs until Sunday morning at 8am. The award ceremony and medal presentations, along with the reveal of the grand total will begin at 7:30am on Sunday. Don’t forget it is Daylight Saving Time!!! Make sure to schedule your rides appropriately.

Can I pick up my packet early?

Yes--we will be offering an early packet pick-up on Friday night, 3/10 during our Tweens and STRIVE Night events. Packets will be available to be picked up from 3:30pm-9pm at STRIVE, 28 Foden Road, South Portland. You’ll also get a goody bag filled with some surprises from our sponsors, and your dancer number.

Which Cross Arena entrance should we use?

Day time attendees can use any entrance. STRIVE Rocks All Night participants should use the Bath Savings Bank entrance on Spring Street.

What should I bring to the STRIVE Rocks All Night?

Besides your energy, you’ll want to bring comfortable clothes and shoes for dancing. Past STRIVE Rocks participants have recommended bringing an extra pair of shoes and socks to change into halfway through the night. Be sure to also bring any costume changes for the night if you would like to participate in the themes! The full list of theme hours will be posted on our website--www.striverocks.org! You do not need to bring money. All food and drinks are provided! (Food and beverage are part of the overnight event only- concession stands will be open during the day event.)

I have another commitment that runs late on Saturday night. Can we come after 8pm?

Yes. Please use the same Bath Savings Entrance. Please feel free to email smillette@pslservices.org if you know you’ll be arriving late and have any questions. You can also call STRIVE on the night of the event at 207.712.4418.

Can my family/friends come and watch?

For the first half hour (8pm-8:30pm), and the final half hour (7:30am-8:00am) we are allowing guests to watch in our special “Spectator Section”. Guests will be given a guest pass. Guests will not be allowed to participate in the activities/food. Everyone without a wristband or guest pass will be asked to leave by arena security. We will also be streaming the event live on www.striverocks.org if people would like to watch online.

Where do I put my things while I’m there?

This year, we have access to a designated section of seating to place personal items. This is a great place to store your stuff throughout the night. Our staff, volunteers, and security will be watching. We do advise, however, that you leave any valuables at home, as we are not responsible for any lost or stolen items. We’ll supply everything you’ll need!

Other than dancing, what will be going on?

TONS! We have everything from inflatables, laser tag, dance video games, massages, a photo booth, obstacle courses, and much more!

I’ve heard a lot about “VIP” and “MVP”. What’s that?

A STRIVE Rocks VIP is someone who has raised $500 or more for this year’s event! They will receive special gifts, including special swag! They will also get exclusive access to the VIP lounge, which offers comfy seating. VIPs will also have exclusive access to the massage therapist for the first hour! It’s not too late to qualify for VIP- you can bring additional donations with you to the event.

MVP is a new category for us this year- those are dancers who have raised over $1000! They will receive even more STRIVE Rocks gear, and will also have premier access to all activities at the marathon!!! Additional prizes will be given to the top 10 fundraisers!

What about parking?

Please see here for parking information. We also recommend utilizing parking meters that are around the Cross Arena. Meters are free after 6pm on Saturday. Please note- the garage attached to the Cross Arena closes at midnight. You will NOT be able to get our if you park there and need to leave before the completion of the event. The two lots highlighted on the map are $10 for 24 hours. Also- if you are getting dropped off, your ride could park in the garage attached to the Cross Arena for $1.75/hour.

Thanks so much for your support! All funds raised go directly to support tweens, teens, and young adults with developmental disabilities. Last year we raised $85,000-can we beat that this year? Please consider sending out one more email asking for pledges. Keep in mind that many donors will wait until the last minute to make their pledge. And-we have great prizes for the top fundraisers this year! Please feel free to contact us at smillette@pslservices.org or (207) 774-6278 with any questions. We really appreciate your support!
