CLASS REGISTRATION
Prior to each class series every student and guardian will fill out a registration form which will include a syllabus and emergency contact information forms which are to be returned before the student starts the series. Series are generally limited to 15 students and the course fee is $20.

Each student should come to class prepared with assigned materials and be ready to engage in class discussions.

Independent Living Skills
March 10th-April 28th

March 10: Intro to Apartment Life
So you want to live on your own? Learn how to find an apartment, fill it with furniture, and figure out your rights as someone living there!
March 17: Budgeting
Learn the budgeting and money basics of independent life. This class will be taught by Norway Savings Bank Representative,
Chris Martin!
March 24: Hygiene (Personal)
Join nursing students from St. Joe’s as they use fun tools to teach us how to stay clean and healthy.
March 31: Hygiene (Apartment)
So you’ve got an apartment now, how do you keep it clean? Learn the importance of keeping your apartment tidy and some special tips on how to do it!
April 7: Safety
Join Self-Defense Instructor Clara Porter as she teaches us how to keep ourselves safe when we’re dealing with scary situations.
April 14: Emergency Preparedness
Taught by Red Cross Disaster Specialist Morgan Bickerstaff, this class will give students the tools to stay safe and be prepared for when disasters strike.
April 21: Food
From healthy eating habits, to grocery shopping, to safe cooking skills, this class will help students learn how to cook and shop like a safe and healthy pro!
April 28: Independent Living Skills Class Jeopardy!
