Dance Marathon 2007

Dear Dancer,

Thank you for deciding to be a part of STRIVE Rocks Dance Marathon 2007. Whether you are a veteran dancer or a new recruit, we are glad to have you become part of our family as we gear up for our 3rd year. You are making a difference in the lives of hundreds of teens and young adults with developmental disabilities from all across the state.  The money you raise goes to the STRIVE Program, located right here in South Portland!
 
Being on your feet for nearly 14 hours and raising $35 may seem like a big job, but don’t think you’re alone! We’re here to help you every step of the way! When March 3, 2007 rolls around, you’ll be joined by hundreds of your fellow peers who are making this journey right along beside you. We can guarantee that when all is said and done, you will have experienced one of the most gratifying and life-changing events of your life.  Don’t forget that the top fundraisers are awarded with a $500 college scholarship and iPod Shuffle.
 
The funds that you raise will help STRIVE to continue to provide numerous educational and socialization opportunities for our over 400 members. We strongly encourage you to visit a STRIVE Friday Night Social Event or another of STRIVE’s many programs/events so that you may see the direct effects of your efforts. 

Included in this packet you will find everything you will need to help prepare you for the DM.  Included in this letter is a Dancer Registration Form, Medical Information Sheet, Release Form, Fundraiser Letter, tips for fundraising, Fundraiser Facts, Rules and Regulations, Theme Hours, and the “Dancer Survival Guide.”    

In order to pre-register, please fill out and return registration and medical forms to STRIVE by February 9th, 2007.  Please note that pre-registered dancers are asked to raise a minimum of $35, while those who sign up at the door are asked to raise $40.

On behalf of the entire Dance Marathon Committee, we hope that you are just as excited about Dance Marathon 2007 as we are. Together, we can make this the best year for DM yet!
